On my LX470 there is a constant whirring noise coming from under the dash above the transmission hump. It sounds like a servo constantly spinning. Its not the Telescopic steering. Could this be the blend door servo?

It will only be toyota/lexus dealers who will attempt to fix it and all they'll do is throw new components at it. Sensors are wear items, your rig is 20 years old, reasonable to bite the bullet and replace all of them and see if that fixes it.

Ummm, the car actually came with the FTE engine, it has oodles of aftermarket support and power upgrades, it will bolt straight in with factory equipment, it doesn't require buckets of cash just to fit it in and you don't need to jump through expensive compliance hoops. Seems compelling to me

If the car is running then you haven’t fried the ECU. Probably your best course of action is to plug in techstream and see what comes up
