Here is a pic..... I welded a piece of 1"x .5" on the frame. This is what the swing arm contacts to stop.

You need a stopper on the swing... the piston and ram are not meant to stop the movement... only control movement between close and open stopper. This piston should be bit longer that the swing range to not bottom out before the stopper.

I did the same set up as Yeos but located the Blue sea switch and plugs above the hatch panel as to not interfere and to keep the area accessible for storage. My fridge is on the left side of the cargo area and having the plug located higher up make them easer to access. I would reconsider...

Consider the 6112 bilstein with a 650lb spring.... great set up. larger and stronger than 5100. same adjustment. not harsh at all.

I replaced my top hats, but could have reused... you can order them assembled with new hats.... saves finding a shop to compress springs and assemble.

Very happy with Bilstein 6112 fronts and 5160 rears. Using the 650 spring up front with a bumper and winch. Rides well and give 2" + of height adjust.

Just set mine up to cargo area with 10g awg wire direct from battery to blue sea 15a switch/ breaker panel with 12v plugs and usb ports. Switchable but as of now only from cargo area. It would be reasonably simple to relocate the blue sea switch breaker by itself to the front of the cab if...
