If you could check a couple of things: is the led lit on float, did you set the unit to your battery specifications, is your panel dirty and is your unit stuck (unplug and set up again).

    Rubicon Solar Power Experience

I have my 180 watt Grape panel permanently mounted on my teardrop. I really like that it charges all day long instead of me having to set it up at the end of the day. Like Drew, it can charge all my batteries if needed.

Solar power install on popup tent trailer

I have a Jumping Jack tent trailer with what started as a modest solar setup. Charge phone/iPad, run lights at night and such with no fridge. I really spent a lot of time wathching my energy usage. I upgraded to a teardrop and the system is more robust and I had only to buy parts one time...

Awesome new MPPT controller with bluetooth control for $99

So there was a little glitch in the system and it stopped working. I only realized the issue when I tried to use my inverter. I had to unplug the dongle, battery, panel and reconnect them before it worked again. You can see that it took two days to recharge. I had upgraded to the Victron 30 but...

I would like to think that seeing your voltage, that your battery might be close to being fully charged, which means the your system is on float at a very reduced rate. IOW’s If the battery is full, the excess won’t go into the battery, hence the low numbers.

    I'll admit I was wrong.

We went from a Canyon cooler that was priced around $300 to the Dometic, which was on a sale for under $400 (I think) plus all the added benefits of not dealing with ice. In the back of our teardrop it has been doing really well, especially since we only have solar to power it.

That’s what is the best thing about these. I was worried about my solar, batteries and the like. So far, even in the winter my panel is keeping up. And yes, I have it running at my house and measure my outputs every day just to see.

You'll also like the constant temps. We don't freeze anything so our temperature can stay in the upper 30's while keeping our veggies nice and crisp. No frozen or soggy spots. It's also easier to clean since you don't have that melted ice water and food soup during the trip.

    I'll admit I was wrong.

About never using a fridge while camping. I went from a 75 liter ice chest to a 37 liter Dometic and what a difference it has made. Crisper veggies, no draining out water, constant temps. So to all those I laughed at, I hang my head. Ok time's up! Get out and camp! :)

There seems to be a large amount of shops in Australia who don't ship to the US.
