I believe you are correct here that it is.
I think the long-term goal is to update the wiring which opens up a lot more options. I will update the thread if and when this happens. Since the old Compressor is still running this project may be shelved for other things that take priority. We will...
Greetings,
I have a 76K20 Chevrolet pickup truck with a 350 engine 4spd trans that the ignition switch is broken that I would like to try to get running. What happened is the ignition became jammed and it would not turn. I have started to disassemble the steering column to replace the actual...
The air compressor is the only item on this circuit. The electrician said basically to try to limit the usage of the circuit to 80% of 20 which is about 16. The motor which is on the A/C now was replaced a few years back and it is 19 amps, so it trips the breaker on occasion.
We are considering...
Greetings,
Boss is looking to upgrade our 1962 Speedaire shop compressor at work. Currently it is a Speedaire 80 Gallon, 3 HP motor, Ingersol Rand type 30 pump 242N3. Typical shop needs, filling tires running some air tools, nothing really extreme. Just one tech (me) using air most of the time...
Fast forward to today. What are some new recommendations for wheeled battery chargers for small engine shop. My vintage Sears wheeled unit started smoking and fried the internal wiring.
I tried those electronic Shumacher units around when the OP wrote this. Worst unit I ever had, never worked...
Greetings
I have a 2000 LC that I am considering getting a rooftop cargo box to carry skis and extra kids gear for travels. The box I was considering was a Thule Force XT XXL. In stock at a local store. Currently my truck has the stock roof rack which I believe the box will mount up to without...
Greetings,
Looking to replace the two main brake hardlines to the rear on my 2000LC. After 22 years in the northeast they are starting to show some rust spots especially where the clamps are. So who has done this and what am I getting myself into here? The factory lines have lasted 22 years so...
Always good advice from @2001LC.
Could you enlighten me a little more with your thinking of high mileage oil and extended oil changes damaging the seals? Not intending to get off track on oil analysis of which is better but from my reading and my own research I have found the 2UZ to be very...
Looking at upgrading to a 200 series and researching safety features. I was surprised to find out that Blind Spot Monitoring was not offered until 16+ models. 16+ is out of the budget. I really don’t understand why my wife’s 13RX has BSM but these vehicles did not. Although I like to keep it OEM...
@TeCKis300 , Convex mirrors do have a purpose. I have used them for many years on both sides of multiple vehicles. I find them harder to use than I used to especially when it is raining outside or other inclement weather. I have found on a few occasions' cars sneaking up on me without their...
Thanks for the information. Starting my research on 200 series safety features as I am looking to upgrade from my 00LC.
So please correct me if I am wrong on any of these safety features on LX and LC,
BSM came standard on 16+LX and LC. Was not offered as an option before 16 on either vehicle...
Interesting....This particular vehicle has parking assist with front and side monitor camera, turn signals in the mirrors and many other options but no BSM. Very surprised.
On a side note, my wife's 13 RX350 has BSM. Must have been an option for that vehicle.
Looking at a 2013 LX570 base advertised for sale. I do not see BSM as an option and have researched model year differences and have not seen it listed. The salesman states that it does not have it. I assume they all came with BSM? How do you turn it on so I can walk through it with the salesman...
