Yeah, I agree with Samc. I didn't use the Mark's adapter and made my own mounts. I did buy the Camaro ( different shape ) oil pan, which helped a lot. It looks like you're pretty far along to change now, so have at it. You'll enjoy the 5.3 power.

Guys still have them made, but you could use anything if you're just after the utility look. A good friend of mine made me alum. cargo panels and I had them powder coated, works good.
So, what would be the advantages to welding them over bolting them on the right way? Maybe weld a flange on the frame then bolt to it, four bolts each mount. That way if you decide to chrome them later on, you can. :hillbilly:
