Thanks very much for your feedback... 800mm is close enough so good to get some confirmation... the slip joint has more than 17mm movement so I'm happy with that. :)
Hi all.
Im needing to order a new front driveshaft for my 1994 auto with 1FZ-FE. I have done the rounds and having problems sourcing one.
Im looking at a genuine item but wanted to confirm the length before I sell a kidney to purchase one. The part number I have is;
37140-60340
My current shaft...
This is an item I have been searching for as well. It is NLA but you can keep adding the item in the Heritage Parts Request. I'm not sure if they are still monitoring this, but the page is still there and I have done this again today... :)
The older FJ73 have the radiator overflow on the...
Totally agree about the efficiency of shipping from UAE and Japan.
Good to know about the 105 exhaust system... something I will look into when I get back home... always good to have options but as long as I can get "off the shelf items" as its not ideal if you gotta get custom pipes made when...
This has been kicking around in my head also... It would be great to get rid of the over chassis part... the heat it puts out being so close to the floor is pretty hot on the feet/leg... as mentioned earlier, the mounting points for the 105 exhaust would be different but I can work around...
I'm happy to pay for quality. But I would like to keep the heat shields. So maybe and option is to refurbish my manifolds, machine the faces and go from there. I'm sure I could weld some bolt fixing points on a set of headers also for the heat shields... but Id rather not go that path.
Agree there. But saying that, even with the poor exchange rate and shipping, I'm in front with parts from Japan and UAE. I've not purchased too much from USA because of the crazy shipping cost. I don't get why shipping is so bad from you guys.
That's why I went Blackhawk arms. I dearly would...
Absolutely! certainly agree. I'm certainly not putting down using used items... I've done so many times and in some cases, its your only option and referbing parts is something I also do often, so I apologies if I came across a bit snobby.
No, OTRAMM is just fine... he is on my YouTube list and...
Yes mate... they are the ones. Mine were from Cozza 4x4 but the same item from what I can see. 11mm longer lower arms. A quick pinion adjustment and good to go. As long as you have adjustable uppers that is.
Hmmmm... interesting concept... only first "junk" 🤣😂🤣
Money is always the object... but paying top $$$ for rubbish is hard to swallow. I certainly don't mind paying for quality once... but when a set of genuine manifolds are cheaper than aftermarket headers, that's when it gets annoying. Thanks...
Nice work! I did the same to my 80 but have done a transfer case change to a part time 4x4. Going from plates to the Blackhawk's was a nice change. I also replaced my lower rear arms to longer ones and it balanced everything up nicely.
When in 4x4, I don't have any vibration issues but i'm only...
There is junk... and there is junk...
When I talk exhaust, I certainly wouldn't entertain the idea of putting on a used exhaust... but that's just me. Most of the aftermarket and used parts here are more expensive than genuine parts from Japan or UAE. I think most ppl are still asking...
Thanks for that... I have sent MegaZip a message so waiting on their reply... It will be a pricey item landed here with the current exchange rate. Yes, my local Toyota told me the front section is NLA... but I don't always take their word on that though.. :)
