Doubling up the gaskets is a good idea! 👍

Thats all you can do. I think using genuine flange gasket and sealant is a must as well. The mounting flange on the exhaust manifolds could also be warped... would be good if there was a way to machine them flat again...

Hi there Pete... sorry... I not been on for a bit... yes... seems like the 94 header pipes are NLA. I still have not changed mine as yet. Like you... Im thinking that we can make the 95's work but it all depends on cost.

    Brakes ...... Overdue write-up.

Awesome! Thanks very much for your reply. I did have a read of the bulletin and although it seemed to relate to certain cars in the US, it was interesting to find out just how important the fluid is. I am certainly more educated on brake fluid thanks to the the know how here. As they say, you...

Difference in Genuine Toyota Oil Filters

Ok... thank you. So the "Market Value Price Part" is just that... similar to the aftermarket items like Ryco and the like... The Denso item would be the preferable item with higher quality... and the price reflects that. 👍 The cheaper item comes up as a "replacement" part number and as a...

Difference in Genuine Toyota Oil Filters

Hi all. Just wondering if any of you gurus could tell me what the difference is between the 2 oil filters available for the 2UZ? There is the Toyota Genuine Market Value Priced Part and a Denso part Listed. They are both made in Thailand. Is there a difference between them in quality? Is the...

    Brakes ...... Overdue write-up.

You would think that ALL Toyota brake fluid is the same... however its transported. Toyota state standards so one would expect the standard is the same across the world. Saying that... the specifications for brake fluid can be confusing as what they mention in the FSM is not on the Toyota...

    Brakes ...... Overdue write-up.

Thank you... a job I am glad I did... 👍 You are correct... just the 3 screws holding the reservoir on. As mentioned here earlier... I just drained most of the fluid in the reservoir through the rear callipers using the power on and 2nd person holding the pedal down while I opened the bleeder on...

    Brakes ...... Overdue write-up.

Hi all. So I tackled the brake system flush today... along with fitting a fresh reservoir to the system. Thanks to the info here, the job wasn't so scary... 🤭👍 The cutaway of the old reservoir certainly tells it how it is... no amout of cleaning/flushing would get rid of that. The info on the...

    Brakes ...... Overdue write-up.

Thanks for the reply... So drain out of caliper until I can see it down the bottom of reservoir, or let it stop itself when it runs out of fluid?

    Brakes ...... Overdue write-up.

Ok thanks... my concern is potentially feeding the system with more gunk from the reservoir... which may or may not come out at the calipers.

    Brakes ...... Overdue write-up.

Hi there 2001LC. Thanks for the time and info you have shared here... its been a great read! My "new to me" 100 is looking like it needs some love and we have been slowly going through some jobs, and this brake system is very new to me. I've mainly wrenched on older 4x4's and I'm gaining the...

1994 80 series FRONT Propeller / Driveshaft length.

Thanks very much for your feedback... 800mm is close enough so good to get some confirmation... the slip joint has more than 17mm movement so I'm happy with that. :)
