P0401 error code exhaust cat relationship

Theres 2 cats in the exhaust system if thats what you mean. The mechanic was not clear as to which one was "getting up to temperature " . Theres 2 o2 sensors also. One is just before the first cat. I think the second is in between the 2 cats

P0401 error code exhaust cat relationship

Hey guys my fzj80 has a p0401 code. I wanted to fix it myself, but did not have the time so i brought it to a shop. Got the truck back and it still had the code and o2 sensor codes. They said the exhaust needed to be fixed for it to go off. I did the exhaust myself, which involved a clamped...

    Y pipe bolts

Im guessing you had the manifold off to weld a nut onto the stud? Im hoping i dont have to take it off. The nuts on the manifold look like the titanic theyre so rusted. Maybe i can spray and torch the one stud and get it off with the star bit. Is that an e10 or e8? Thanks everyone for the help.

    Y pipe bolts

I got 2 out clean 1 stud snapped and the nut on the other one we had to grind off. Do you know the socket size for the stud? We were also wondering about drilling through the broken stud ans just putting a bolt and nut with a locking washer rather than replacing the stud.

    Y pipe bolts

    Y pipe bolts

Even if i get the nuts off from the bottom the stud will still be threaded into the manifold?

    Y pipe bolts

Yes correct i was able to reach the nuts with a long extension, but wasnt able to move them

    Y pipe bolts

Hey guys how can i get these off? We're thinking of welding a nut or bolt onto the bottom of the studs. Then we would turn them from the bottom. Whats really weird is that all the studs have the nut on the bottom but no head on the top of all 4. Its also pretty tricky trying to do anything on...

    Rear heater hose fix

Hmm there's no metal right now. Just a gap between rubber from where i removed the rear heater lines. Can the silcone go into or over the rubber?

    Rear heater hose fix

Ok i was thinking about that. Do you put the silcone hose on the outside of the existing rubber hoses on each end or inside? Do you know the size chance? I was considering using a piece of the old metal tubing as a bridge between the rubber and silcone so there would be a flange, but that seems...

    Rear heater hose fix

Hey guys quick question. I removed the rear heater lines because there was a leak. I though i could easily find some tubing to replace them, but no. I've been reading about a rear heater by pass, nut since the lines are already out can i just put a "U" in the spot shown in this picture? Thanks...

    4WD not working

Did this and the truck runs great and smooth. Installed a replacement birfield and axle and rebuilt the knuckle. Played around a little with it today center and front locked. Not the rear for some reason. Thanks everyone for your help and encouragement. Success !
