I'll take you up on this (though it'll be come up to Oceanside, I'm in Normal Heights)! Have been looking at the Vario F. Are both the Scheel Mann and Recaros all manual adjust? I have a 24V system, and 12V seats sound like yet another wiring hassle.
I've got an 84 60 that I'd be happy to test in - also just received the Wit's End version (finally) for comparison purposes if that helps. Oh, and the original cardboard :P
I've got windows on the way, will let you know what I find. The Fairchild 8' cut lengths sound like they are just a little too short to do a window which is a bummer as that'd be ideal w/ very little waste & no need to order rolls in the 100s of ft.
I checked all of the parts for the slider rebuild that @red66toy listed in post #52 of this thread, and they all seem to be still available from Toyota in the US for about $150 for the whole BOM.
The "bailey channel" or dual channel weather stripping seems a little harder to source:
* Bailey...
Nice. Started the same project this weekend, but with a hood mounted flexible panel. Will use the same Victron controller when I get that far.

Do you happen to know how many meters or feet of dual channel weatherstripping is required to re-do a set of these? Would an 8ft piece be enough to do a single window? I'm away from the 60 at present otherwise I'd go do some rough measurements/estimations.
Another month, another partially started project! I've been meaning to get a solar system set up to support multi-day camping w/o needing to worry about the fridge running the starter batteries down and leaving me stranded.
Rough requirements:
* Charge the 24V main system until I get around to...
Thanks. Did you order from Scott's Old Auto Rubber - https://www.scottsoldautorubber.com.au/ ?
It seems like Fairchild 0637(-8) may currently be the best bet in the US.
As I understand the usual recommendation is to replace the dryer and expansion valve when recharging or diagnosing the system.
If you're going to replace the expansion valve, you can replace the evaporator while you're in there as the bulk of the hassle is getting the whole assembly out from...
@NookShneer did you ever figure out if one of these CRL options was a viable replacement for the factory bailey channel? Not sure how much it'll help, it seems a little difficult to source by the cut foot in any case.
I bought one of those G HJ60 in ~2013. What year is it?
* Check the frame & body (pull up corners of carpet if you have to, and around the rear seat mounts at the rear wheel wells) for rust, if you're living in a mountain town it'll only get worse. The frame on mine was swiss cheese that the...
Sorry for the delayed reply, was in Baja (without AC 🥵) for the past while. @Willis and @Radd Cruisers I will take what you've got if @Engineer8000 hasn't snapped them up already.
