Either of those would be fine. I went with the Alpine as it matched the power of my Alpine 600W sub amp. I looked at the Hertz, but got such a good deal on the Alpine I couldn't pass it up.

That would be transmission fluid. There is a transmission cooler in the radiator. That is where you would go to do a complete fluid exchange in your transmission. As for replacing it, might as well do a drain and fill or a complete exchange while you are at it...

I ran Mineral, Poughkeepsie (not the wall), Corkscrew, Engineer Pass, Last Dollar Road, Black Bear Pass, Cinnamon Pass, Imogene Pass and Ophir Pass at 15PSI for the week. Some minor sidewall scuffs but no damage.

Personally, both of those would be wasted in the stock box without some serious modifications. It may ne possible to fit them in there. I think @grinchy would be of help as they are similar dimensions to the JBL he installed.

If it helps, you don't need to use the clips on the two side panels. The plastics stay where they are when driving and you can just slide them over when you need to access. Has worked for 60K miles so far.

I think most here use OEM filters. They are fairly inexpensive and work quite well

It keeps my plastics parts a deep black for well over a year under the hood. Even longer on the outside.

I looked at the parts diagram for both LC and LX and neither had anything there. My guess is that it could be for the plastic bug protectors they used to sell.
