    I'm in Memphis... and on any given day I will see 20-30 100 series... and 5-7 80 series i have no idea how they got here I had a salesman friend at a local toyota dealership and he said they never sold them... folks would look but never buy... and rare they ever had more than one on the lot...

    thanks for the input... this is my first 4.7 with the variable valve timing, i have many of the older 4.7s and have been into them alot... just never had this issue... I did read that you have to use a assembly screw in the exhaust cam gear? that has to stay in place until it is seated...

    I have done many of these (engine swaps) one of the easiest engines to exchage ever... you can check some of my old threads but just about ANY 4.7 in that year range will work... tundra, sequoia, 4runner, ect... you will need your oil pan, exhaust manifolds, engine mounts, oilfilter...

    so i guess you have done the math... to know the surface area you are no longer contacting... pad to rotor... and taken into account that the pad wears each time you apply the brakes and that "wear dust" acts as a lubricant between pad and disk... with the drilled disk... this acts much...
