    Gas Smell

I had a similar scenario on my 77. Cleaned the lines, checked evap canister, everything looked fine. Finally fixed the issue by replacing my gas cap - it wasn't properly venting and caused a backup of fumes in the cab.

What have you done to your Land Cruiser this week?

I went from white, to black - to factory grey. Gotta say, I'm partial to the original look:

    FJ40 Wiring Harness

This stuff is great to wrapping up harness loose ends as well. I bought some from Crutchfield when installing fog lights and some other wiring: Scosche EXTAPE I saw what looks like an equivalent item on Amazon, FYI (haven't tried the Amazon version, though): High Temp Wiring Loom Harness...

    Weather stripping info

I had the same trouble as many have had with the black sealant / cement not working. The glue loved to stick to the doors but the weatherstripping - not so much. I peeled all the stripping off and removed as much as the old black cement as possible. Next, based on advice from others here on...

    Turn Light/Signal Issue

I had some wacky issues with the signals. Tried the flasher, ground wires, connectors. Ended up being some corroded contacts on the connector to the relay. (The connector with the green wire leads was the culprit on my 77) https://forum.ih8mud.com/attachments/wiring-77-signal2-png.2700813/...

What have you done to your Land Cruiser this week?

Changed out the tires for a "new" set of factory wheels. Thanks to @MrBG for the opportunity to refurb his old stock wheels and add them to my rig - just in time for the great weather. Had them powder coated and added some new caps.

What have you done to your Land Cruiser this week?

The labels are tough to find info on. I tried to locate possible sources using some of the older references of vendors (i.e. MetricTLC). None of them seem to be making the labels anymore. So, I pieced together details based on a few of the posts below. From what I could gather, for the 35011...

What have you done to your Land Cruiser this week?

I couldn't find any sources for foil OEM jack labels. So, I reached out to Chris at Toyota4low. He turned my design into a perfectly-sized OEM foil label. If anyone needs one of these, he now has them available on his site: Early FJ40 Landcruiser Bottle Jack Decal -...

    Aftermarket seats.....

I'm using the Procar seats too. No problem with seat height for the passenger side above the gas tank - from what I can see (and from what my wife and son say - although they have more issues with my driving than the seats I'm guessing...)
