Remove the useless hood hold-open springs and replace with lift struts, like on your rear window hatch. There is a thread for this somewhere on this forum. Super easy, cheap, and very satisfying...

Definitely interested in reading your post about priming the carb for cold start...searched your posts and the CruiserTrash posts with no luck....

Sometimes when I first crank the cold engine, I hear a "Pffft" sound from the passenger side footwell...sounds like a soft fart. And, it smells...almost like cordite or gunpowder. At first, this would only happen when cranking a cold engine. Now it seems to happen very randomly when the engine...

I'm emphatic because I just finished completely restoring an FJ60 that I sold on BaT, and I don't want to do it again because I know what it took to get it there.

I've been through this before, just don't have it in me, or the time, for a second go round.
