Did you make any progress with this? I have the same problem. Thought it was the front wheel bearings, which I changed no difference. Could you get to the CV axle to grease it up?

Went to have a look at the car, rust way too much rust. For a 80 series with such low miles it looked beaten, never serviced, just
generally neglected.
I've only had the 100 for a few months so i'm not super keen on dumping a whole lot of cash into this rig.
I did try driving some right hand drive cars here and i didn't like one bit, on the trail, sure it doesn't make any difference but on the road it takes a lot of getting used to....
Agreed, color combo and condition will be a big aspect. But there is no chance the owner drained after blowing the head, guy has no idea, so that fluid has been sitting there for years.... I'm Australian so i like the idea of the diesel....
