Did you make any progress with this? I have the same problem. Thought it was the front wheel bearings, which I changed no difference. Could you get to the CV axle to grease it up?

Went to have a look at the car, rust way too much rust. For a 80 series with such low miles it looked beaten, never serviced, just generally neglected.

I've only had the 100 for a few months so i'm not super keen on dumping a whole lot of cash into this rig. I did try driving some right hand drive cars here and i didn't like one bit, on the trail, sure it doesn't make any difference but on the road it takes a lot of getting used to....

Agreed, color combo and condition will be a big aspect. But there is no chance the owner drained after blowing the head, guy has no idea, so that fluid has been sitting there for years.... I'm Australian so i like the idea of the diesel....

Yeah, lol, i rarely venture over from the 100 forums. I've had the "privilege" of changing out many heads on the 4L Ford straight sixes, so i'm expecting much of the same with the 1FZ. My biggest concern is that it's more than just the head.

It is a 1995. I will at least go and see it, but best case i think i'll be replacing a more than just the engine.
