Checking an old thread for answers....similar situation with my 77'. Has a Holley on board, same dieseling and throttle cut out when gassing it. Did yours end up being the seal between surfaces? De-smogged improperly?

No idea if this I'd still available, but having a 77' FJ40 chassis and 2F motor FSM would be an unreal help with my rust bucket before the frame off starts! Thank you in advance x2 wether it works out or not! Hell of a thing to do for the MUD community.

Bump! Fairly new to MUD and I've found this thread to be as good as it gets before I pull apart my 77' 2F

Hell of a thread, was glued to the phone between calls at station while I was on shift. Started page one a week ago and just finished tonight. Hope all is well with Commander and we hear the upcoming story soon! Sure as hell makes me miss my old 72' 40.

New to the MUD posting, but where are you located? Im interested in looking a bit further at your 40.
