Thanks for the reply! I’ve heard some bad things about TopSoft and am going to avoid them. I spoke to Killer Toy Tops a bunch and after seeing not much interest in a big production of 70 series soft tops I talked to them about their seamstress sewing charges and it seemed fairly acceptable to me...
Yeah I’m waiting on you to post some to get a shot at them, not sure how much I can afford though. I’m more inclined to just chop my doors if I can find or get a soft top created. I was hoping there’d be more interest to have one made by a reputable company.
Good Afternoon!
I’m attempting to get a production going by Killer Toy Tops for a full soft top for 73 and 74 series landcruisers with the removable hard top and trying to gauge interest and what price people would be interested in at. My thought would be a style where you cut off the rear...
Hey guys, it’s Austin!
Didn’t even realize there was a ih8mud group, so I’ll post on here!
I have a 1989 Landcruiser 74 series with a 13BT engine and lots of work to be done
So far I’ve done spring over axle, upgraded but too big of a turbo, 37s, made the front bumper and threw on a 24V Aisin...
I do have the FSM, that’s what I’ve been going off of. Mainly just wondering what the signs are in going too far so I can quickly back off. I do agree the turbo could possibly be too big, if I can’t get it to spool up lower in the revs I’d like to upgrade to a GTurbo but I’d like to tinker with...
Have a 13BT with an upgraded CT26 w/ Garrett 60-1 wheel. Biggest issue is it’s slow to boost. Not intercooled yet not sure if that would help, but I started to play with the timing some today but I’m totally new to messing with Injection Pump timing. I moved the whole pump about a 1mm advanced...
Thanks! Yeah I have EGT, Boost, oil pressure, and coolant temp gauges. Running a Garrett 60-1 wheel in the CT26 housing. Goes well! Midrange is laggy but at 3k rpm it hits real hard up to 3300. Adding some clicks on the compensator should help with that. Right now hitting 18psi.
Hey guys, just wanted to give an update! Replaced the intake manifold gasket and added some high temp spray sealant on it to hopefully help it not blow out again. While I had it off I went ahead and gave the injection pump a couple turns on the screws right there under it that help the midrange...
I think it’s this intake gasket, vacuum pressure is good as it actually maxes out my gauge, and the VSV closes fully. Waiting on parts and hoping that the bolt broke rather than the intake manifold!
No, no EDIC. The 13bt shuts off air rather than fuel, but I think I may have found the problem. Spraying starting fluid on the intake side I found what may be the brand new intake manifold gasket to have blown out on one corner, broke the bolt trying to tighten it more. Waiting on parts and...
Really need some help here,
Been chasing this problem for about a month. When I turn the key off, the truck drops down to about 200rpm but will never shut off. I have replaced the VSV, all the vacuum lines, the Venturi, and made new gaskets for the Venturi and intake heater. The vacuum pressure...
