    Opinions on engine work

Thanks once again. This is very good info. He did tell me this AM that it had been burnin' oil and smoking quite a bit in last year. So maybe all he needs would be a rebuild. I'll post back what he decides to do.

OK. Thanks for the quick replies. I have to go back to NM soon so I may just "swing by" there if he doesn't get anywhere with it. Plus I need to go check on my mom anyway. Are these motors as bad as the 3VZ's as far as head gaskets and such? Or any other "geez that's good to know stuff"?

    Underbody Rust Protection

Why not use the 'spray on bedliner" products or the "rubberized undercoating"? Does that not prevent water intrusion onto the body metal?

    Builds 1990 4Runner Build/Rescue

That was certainly a Diamond in the Rough Transformed. Good job. How was the inside of the replacement fuel tank? You've got me worried about mine now.

    Need Help With Relays

If I may help, you probably know a relay is nothing more than an electrically (current loop) operated switch. Here's how I test relays on oil eqpt: first, disconnect all the wires (label or take a pic!) on the primary and secondary sides. (you dont want to put power into either the source or...
