I have the same concern...I don't want that busy look. I saw this radio (link below) on Donut Media. Kind of a classic look and not nearly as busy. I haven't bought it becasue I'm still not sure.

If you're up to it, I'd suggest replacing it. Peace of mind is worth alot. I changed mine during baselining, so I pulled the intake and swapped fuel filter, PHH and other hoses along with a few sensors. I'd suggest this hose: http://www.phhkit.com/

I'm also thinking they must be independent. I cleaned the switch really well and it ohmed correctly. Put it back in...still no engagement. I drove around in figure 8's in a gravel lot for several minutes...no luck. Going to remove and inspect the actuator next. But that's for tomorrow I think...

I wonder if it is true that the rear must engage in order for the front to engage, that maybe my rear IS engaging, but the dash indicator is still flashing due to a faulty switch...is this possible?

Thanks for the input guys. I was able to look at it again this morning. I found that the L4 Position Switch was unplugged. This has remedied the CDL indicator dash light (and CDL is engaging). Also, the front locker engages. However, the rear is still not engaging. Pascoscout, you pointed out...

out of curiosity, does anyone know if it's possible to test the ECU? I'm sure its possible...guess I'm asking if I can DIY test my ECU.

This helps guys. I'll investigate the harness. I have considered rebuilding the harness anyway. Nearly all the connectors' tabs are broken and she's brittle.

I'm out of ideas for my '95. The problem: one injector is constantly dumping fuel. It had started running terribly and eventually dying. I found the injector while doing a compression check. All other cylinders were right around 175 psi while the number 4 cylinder was at 275 (filled with gas)...

Thanks. This is exactly the info I was looking for. I was leaning toward not changing it as I’ve had the upper and lower off a few years ago and it was a beast (modified it as you mentioned so as not to mess with the harness). I didn’t necessarily want to do that again just for a few connectors...
