Looks like you are spot on with your marked up picture. The photo from my engine bay seems to confirm. Only difference I can see is the connection I have to the voltage regulator on my 12V "79 BJ which doesn't seem to be on your harness.

It's quick, cheap and easy to eliminate that as an issue...

Has the fuel filter been changed recently?

You are correct. The other hose does connect to the water pump. It was a bit tricky to try and get everything in the photos. Hope you're getting on top of it!

Maybe Canadian delivered B engines didn't have the external oil cooler and do not use this port?

It's one of the connections to the oil cooler. I'll try and get a photo from my B engine.

Can anyone help me with dimensions and fixing method for the supporting arms for the ARB "catchers mask" bulbar. The tabs are part of the bulbar but I'm not clear about the attachment to the chassis rails. It looks to me like a new hole will have to be drilled on the side of the chassis rail...

BJ42 with 3B motor, valve push rod cover is part number 11203-56040 available through Amayama. My B motor, below, has almost the same part number for the valve push rod cover (red arrow)11203-56020. Also has external oil cooler (blue arrow).

The EDIC relay is quite easy to pull apart for inspection as well Giles. Basically, once removed from the under glovebox location, you can bend back the tabs and remove the cover allowing access to the contacts and pcb for cleaning and checking. Mr Landcruiser here in oz often have to pull...
