relatively problem free for the past 2 years, still haven't done my exhaust but that's partially because I was waiting to get my sliders in. Got them and my bumper on, but had to cut the exhaust even shorter. it dumps out under the drivers seat LOL. I ordered a built HE351 to replace the hx35w...
After doing Hydroboost I agree. Prior to doing it, my brakes were dismal and I practically had to stand on them to stop. i towed 3000lbs (which is nothing!) when it was stock and I hated it. But like I said, I think my booster was shot. Now, after the swap and everything else, I have no concerns...
I don't really think it'd be needed, especially after driving for a long time after my swap with the hydroboost. I've put 1000lbs in the rear and it didn't make a difference, stopped great. I'd like to do an upgrade anyhow just to have the extra stopping power though and it'd look nice lol...
to my knowledge they're 12v - the only 24v on a diesel 80 is the starter. if the PO is fine with splitting them, I'm in for taking the mounting plates if you want the winch.
I have a big 3 or 4 core aluminum from ebay or amazon with Spal E-fans in my hdj81v, and i have a hard time getting up to 185 degrees if the outside temp is below 70. above 70, it will get to 190 after a while, fans turn on, and within a minute it's down to 140. When we were at 110 in the summer...
......it's probably basically the same radiator lol. Imo most aluminum radiators are equal. Likely all made in the same place unless it's 100% a special made in house item. I always figured the cheaper ones didn't pass a visual inspection or something.
Also anyone who says "hurr sure e-fans...
I'm in search of a RIGHT HAND DRIVE steering box from an 80 series or a 105 series WITHOUT the variable pressure solenoid on top. I'm located in Oregon, USA and am willing to pay shipping from anywhere - and also fine with a unit that needs rebuilding.
Out of curiosity - where did you source a RHD steering box? I've been having a hell of a time getting my hands on a used one. I would like to remove the progressive steering so I have more room for a bigger turbo.
