I chased a cold start problem for months once, I tried the alternator, battery, starter motor, and ignition switch. While I think some of those things contributed to it, the worst culprit in the equation was my Cold Start Injector. I removed it and cleaned it fairly well and the problem went away.
My SR was done by a previous owner but from everything I've gathered it sees like it was a homebrew job. It doesn't look like any of the "kits" I've seen, although it was done 20+ years ago. It's welded-on and very stout. (I can't wait to get rid of the body lift)
Haha, love Work Meisters, those and TE-37s are my all-time favorite wheels. I'm an ex-JDM boy so I have a soft spot for JDM wheels on Cruisers. I want tall skinny tires, probably going with 35x10.5 or 11.5. I go back and forth between wanting FJ Cruiser Steelies or something more "modern"...
My 62 is the same color and I've recently decided to keep it white rather than re-spray it. Now I'm reconsidering my wheel choice, what are your wheel/tire specs?
I really want to do this mod, but I have 2183048 things I need to do first. I'll be slumming it on Leafs for the foreseeable future.
Sidenote: How good is that Badlands Jack? I've been so happy with mine.
Thanks for directing me to your build thread, I plan to do the same thing with my quarter panels. The worst rust on my 62 are the rockers and rear quarters so I'm chopping both, I like the way you capped your quarters, I'll likely do the same thing. I'll also add wrap-around "wings" to my...
Damn, your truck has thrown me a curveball. I had convinced myself I was going to paint my 62 a different color, now I kind of want to keep it white. I plan to do the same wheels as yours, so it's swaying me to stay white.
What was it that you didn't like about the Rhino Rack gutter mounts...
Is it possible to add a hole for a Sub in the Door-less quarter panels? I know there's not much room and it will need to be reinforced, I'm looking for a way to add a sub to the truck and have it look OEM+.
What did you paint your grille/bezels and door handles with? Has it held up? After I paint my truck I want to "de-chrome" it, but, I've never seen a consensus on what product to use for best results.
