Cam and piston are fine, just that one valve. It's a remanufactured head, so maybe the guide just crapped out? Sending it in for, hopefully, warranty.

OK so finally got around to doing a leakdown test which showed an issue with the exhaust valve on cylinder #2. We pulled the cylinder head off and, well, see for yourself:

Yes, carry spare mantles. Store the lantern upright in its case and it will be fine. In shipping it gets laid on its side, kicked around, tossed, etc.

Can you say the name of the shop? (PM is ok if you don't want to slam them publicly) Also, to your original point, I have seen shops cover towing but it's very rare.

Thanks! I'd probably do this in addition to an EGT gauge. Is there any value to installing it at the thermostat housing bolt?

Doing some googling, I think the bolt pattern is for a pintle hitch. Is that correct?
