im wondering maybe if the two black cables that are on the terminal were somehow jerryrigged into being the 'ground' cables? is that possible?

I just got the truck a few weeks ago so previous owner may have changed a bunch of stuff. I'm a little stumped though because all I've done is pull the battery, then put it back in. I didn't (intentionally) change anything. Can you dumb this down for me a bit -- What is the solution here...

Well, after tightening the terminal -- same result. Any other ideas? Or perhaps what images/videos could I post to help diagnose the problem?

91 I just got the truck -- there are some lights on the front that these spaghettis seem to go to. Will no nut make the battery not function? I dropped it in the driveway while working and it rolled into a drain 😭 I thought this would at least get the truck running while I go to the hardware...

91 Land Cruiser. Speedo is loose at some speeds and squeaking

Hi: Total noob here. Biggest fix I've ever done on a car is spark plugs + wires. I've got a squeaky speedo, and search function indicates that I can pull it out through the transfer case and then lube it, and thread it back into the sheath. I just want to make sure I've located the right thing...

So, if I start up the car with my foot on the brake, the idle surges up and down until I release the brake. My current solution is to just not have my foot on the brake :doh: but I'm wondering if this could be indicative of any larger issue?
