200 Series Toyota Land Cruiser Rear Axle Breather

My understanding of how breathers work is that a breather allows the hot air to escape and cool air to enter so they are bidirectional. I moved mine due to corrosion in Illinois. I only extended the hose and used the OEM breather for the rear axle. I did not do anything with the others. If you...

I did not cut a hole. When I pushed the breather hose by the filler tube, it just went through. The gasket is not sealed to the gas filler tube.

OEM Land Cruiser suspension & Heritage Land Cruiser suspension differences?

I did not have the part numbers for the 2008 springs and I do not know the spring numbers for the 2021 Heritage. Everything else ACA, front struts, shocks front and rear were the same numbers when compared to the 2021 heritage numbers.

OEM Land Cruiser suspension & Heritage Land Cruiser suspension differences?

I used a 2021 LC Heritage suspension that was also swapped with only 500 miles on it. All the part numbers were the same as the ones found in my 2008 LC. One thing to notice is the color of the 2 painted lines (blue and purple) on the rear springs. I installed the front struts OEM spacers and...

200 Series Toyota Land Cruiser - Hidden Winch

Here it is another thread that goes over the same concerns. Hidden winch mount collision safety - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/hidden-winch-mount-collision-safety.1238742/ There seems to be an Australian option out-there, but I am not familiar with it. My main concern with the TT option is...

    Road salt reducer or OCD

I live in Chicago and I use CRC Marine 06026 Heavy Duty Corrosion Inhibitor on the outside frame and locations exposed where water and salt can get in easily, and spray liquid film inside the box frame, inside doors & hood using an extension wand (amazon). Good Youtube video for reference.

200 Series Toyota Land Cruiser - Hidden Winch

I am able to reach easily the clutch through the opening I described in step 12. See yellow highlighted in picture. You can also reach the area where you can connect the wire for the remote control, but it is a little difficult to connect the wire, so for this, it is much easier to remove the...

200 Series Toyota Land Cruiser - Hidden Winch

It was price, user reviews among winches reliabilities and option for synthetic line. I did not need for my type of driving a premium brand which it was hard to justify the difference in price.

200 Series Toyota Land Cruiser - Hidden Winch

I did not measure the high before I installed the winch. It is 34" now from the ground to the top of the wheel arch with standard tires. The driving feels the same as before. I was not able to notice any difference. I also have installed the ARB under body protection and that is really heavy...

200 Series Toyota Land Cruiser Rear Axle Breather

Today after reading more about tail light vs Gas fill location for the rear differential breather mod. I decided that the gas fill location as mentioned before is a better location that the tail light location due to the possible smell coming out from the breather and getting inside the car. It...
