For Sale 1992 FJ80, Good Solid Mechanical condition, paint...meh, lifted, good tires

Yep, it sure is...sadly :(. I really hate to sell it because I know my regret will only grow deeper but, as the add says "divorce can get pretty expensive" and as much as I love my Cruiser, I still think I'd like to stay married a little more than that. anyway, where do you hail from? this...

For Sale  1992 FJ80, Good Solid Mechanical condition, paint...meh, lifted, good tires

Hey Fellow Mudders, I am choosing (being forced...:princess:) to sell my beloved 80. I was using it as my DD but was simply spending too much for my wife to bear, she's very fiscally minded. Anyway here's the book I've written about it along with some pictures. PM me is you're interested...

New Gen 1 Tacoma In the Driveway

I'm having to sell my '92 FJ80 (per my :princess:) I drive too much and was spending way too much in gas as it was my DD. So I figured the next best thing to my beloved 80 was a 2001 taco. scouring the websites right now to fully refresh the suspension which is very worn out. found a deal over...

Interest in Gen1 Tacoma ARB modification (jeep bumper)

I'd sure be interested in how it fits on. If I were you, I'd definitely just weld some tabs onto either the frame or more likely the bumper itself to make it fit right to the frame on the tacoma. I am having to sell my cruiser to i'm in the market for a 4 door taco right now, either 4x4 or trd...

Since I'm sure it's never been discussed,

hey now, what the hell's wrong with black? :flipoff2: seriously i was just getting ready to give mine a new color and black was cheap and easy, plus pinstripes show up so much better on glass black...no downsides at all!

Since I'm sure it's never been discussed,

I would say the 92 because of course, you never really have to worry about HG issues, no ABS system, A440 tranny, very easy to de-smog, super simple and "dumb" engine (no OBD) and on a long downhill with a good tailwind you can gather speed fairly quickly. in fact it usually only takes me about...

92 passenger front caliper locking up...i'm at my wits end

to everyone who contributed ideas, thank you! the solution ended up being very simple and the gremlin turned out to be one of my own making. i made a very noob mistake by clamping off the soft line a few months back on install so it wouldn't leak so much fluid, well that shouldn't ever be...

92 passenger front caliper locking up...i'm at my wits end

I have no problem going OEM as the budget allows but these guys at Hundley Hydraulics are the real deal. They custom build to virtually the same specs as OEM, right down to supplying the copper washers and the locator pin for the banjo fitting. This is what fits the budget right now, but I do...

92 passenger front caliper locking up...i'm at my wits end

Thanks for replying Jon. I'll just start by replacing that soft line then. OEM lines from my local Toyota house are 56 bucks each so I'm going to get a local hydraulics house to build me one...14 bucks, pretty big difference And more importantly, it'll be a valuable lesson learned in not...

92 passenger front caliper locking up...i'm at my wits end

got another quick question before i replace my drive side caliper and all the hard lines on the axle. when i replaced my passenger side axle to caliper soft brake line, i clamped it off with a pair of vicegrips to prevent brake fluid bleedout. i remembered doing that on my way home yesterday...
