Forth set of CV joints is two years - What am I missing?

The 4Runner guys do a boot extension when they reboot utilizing part of the old boot, seems to help them. It keeps the folds of the boot from rubbing together and tearing. Not sure if it will work on ours. But when I redo my suspension and steering door I’m planning on trying it out. also how...

What have you done to your 100 Series this week?

For bending up the tabs I was able to use locking Needle nose pliers to make a clean crease. then from the top side of the covers I was able to gently use a flat head screw driver to wedge between the gasket and the top lip of the valve cover and rotate the driver to apply pressure and...

Got the passenger side valve cover off and redid the seals (cover and spark plug tubes), got it back on, new spark plugs and coil packs. Now to tackle the more difficult driver sode.. Ohh I did tear one...

What have you done to your 100 Series this week?

Well, took the LC to the exhaust shop after stripping the upper O2 sensor. I couldn’t get any bite on a thread chaser so figured they might have some luck or they could weld in a new bung without pulling the manifold.. 1 hour later no luck.. towed it back home and proceeded to removed the...
