    ASFIR reviews plz

Sharing my experience and setup. Asfir front and mid (transmission) skids installed. One important modification I did was cut 2” holes along the exhaust to dump heat. Maybe it helps, maybe not but I feel better given the fuel lines and exhaust are trapped under the skid. I did not want the...

What have you done to your 100 Series this week?

Few things recently; Asfir skids, front and transmission. Note I was able to get the stock transfer case bolted up however it is over the trans skid. I got a 1” whole saw and drilled through the asfir trans skid to get the stock transfer case skid/deflector mounted. I prefer this over the...

    Central/Western NC Dispersed Camping Spots

Although primitive, there are forest service roads all over the place, not sure how they are this year given the large amount of flooding that happened in Q3 of last year though. Any spot on a water source is great, hwy 105 gets a bit windy given it runs a ridge. Forest service maps are pretty...

    Rear Differential Fluid Change

If anyone was wondering, I can confirm the rear hex drain plug with the long magnet works just fine. No issues with the magnet being too long.

What have you done to your 100 Series this week?

I built a platform. I don’t like the permanence if drawer systems but wanted something I could throw a sleeping pad over and be able to store gear I always keep in the vehicle in an organized manner. Here is the list: 42”x52” 3/4 plywood 4 10” x1” iron gas pipes, prethreaded 8 1” pipe...

Must have CHEAP mods to 100 Series

I picked up some Velcro adhesive patches and an expedition pouch. Has been there about two years now and no issues with the Velcro adhesive coming unglued. I like it because I can keep leather man or other odds/ends and when switching vehicles, just grab the pouch and go. No real impact to arm...

    2018 LC200 5.7 Driver side A/C VENT doesn't work

Update to my experience. my first techstream reset failed within 24 hours. I reset again but this time, with tech stream running, I went through every setting using dash controls, I think a few times. I could hear the dampers moving around. Started, shut down and started again, a few times...

Oil wicking into ECM - random A/F sensor codes P0171/P0174/P2195/P2197

My mechanic said he’s only seen it happen 2x, me being 3rd, and almost exclusively works on Land Cruiser platforms for the last ~20 years.

Oil wicking into ECM - random A/F sensor codes P0171/P0174/P2195/P2197

Hoping my experience could help someone. My 2006 LX470 had trans fluid wicking into the wiring harness. The point of entry was a white plug on the driver's side about right between the shifter and the gas pedal. This is very easy to get to/check and we blew it out and put some...

    2018 LC200 5.7 Driver side A/C VENT doesn't work

I have experienced this in my 2019 LC200. Within 2k miles of taking ownership (purch with 26k) it happened and I took it to dealership who informed they knew of the issue and TSB. They reset the damper, my specific issue was driver side dash vents not blowing. Things worked fine for about a...

LX 470 Alternator/Battery Issue (Low Voltage)

To me, this sounds like an alternator going out. Speaking from personal experience just a few weeks back, a few lights came on in the dash so I knew something was awry. When I stopped at a light, volt meter pegged then at cruising speed it was back down. Read a few things and suspected...
