Great experience with Custom Car Stereo CarPlay kit

Thanks for sharing your experience with this. I too have been concerned about the various bugs/deficiencies that come with the units from other brands. I too may be willing to pay a premium to avoid such issues.

Great experience with Custom Car Stereo CarPlay kit

Thanks. How long have you had this installed? Other than the things you point out as dislikes above, have there been any occasional or temporary bugs or glitches like some of the other brands seem to have?

Great experience with Custom Car Stereo CarPlay kit

Thanks for posting this. Do you have the rear seat entertainment screens in your Cruiser and if so, have you tried how this plays things on those screens? I noticed the website for this product has a YouTube video where the guy said there were connections available to display on rear seat...

The Car Care Nut talks UR V8 blown head gaskets

For what it's worth, my invoice from the dealer for the water pump replacement says they charged me for a "drain and bleed of the coolant as necessary" and then they charged me for 3 gallons of coolant (SLLC). This seems to indicate they drained most of it.

The Car Care Nut talks UR V8 blown head gaskets

I guess new coolant might have been a benefit of having a leaky water pump replaced by the dealer at about 65,000 miles. But, do you think a water pump replacement by the dealer would have involved a full exchange/flush of the coolant? Surely, they wouldn't save the old coolant and put it back...

DIY Smartphone Scan Gauge - OBD Fusion

Thanks 2HundyJTex. I’ve tried all that up in post #55. I have not tried DropBox. I’ll probably try that. But what year of Toyota’s “enhanced diagnostics” have you purchased? I purchased “Toyota 2018 Enhanced Diagnostics” and “Toyota 1996-2021 Enhanced Diagnostics.” Could it be that you have...

DIY Smartphone Scan Gauge - OBD Fusion

I'm hoping someone can tell me what I'm doing wrong. JHundyJTex kindly sent me his dashboard stg file. I also downloaded Trailbreaker9413' dashboard stg file. I’m using the iphone OBD Fusion app and keep getting this error message: In the "Files" on my iphone, I created an "OBD Fusion"...

EDIT: BOUGHT and Enjoying***Prospective 200 owner, What would you do?

If 20K is the difference between equivalent HE and non-HE 200s, I'd definitely go for the non-HE. Love the cool box! I know some don't, but even if you don't, it can still be used for storage, and are you willing to pay 20K for the tiny bit of extra storage you would get without the cool box...

What are you using for thigh support?

I installed the Desert Does It seat jackers about 8 months ago and I think they're definitely an improvement. However, my longest drive so far has only been about 4-5 hours. Hopefully, I'll be about to do a 5,000 mile road trip soon to further confirm this.

So I think the Michelin Defender is the perfect all-terrain tire... (For most of us)

:hmm: Or how about the "Land Cruiser Defender Club"?! ;)

    Thoughts

Agreed on the above. Nissan truck-framed vehicles have been fantastic for me over the past couple decades. They've usually been cheaper than a similar Toyota because they've had simpler interiors and tech and do not command the high resale value, but they've had strong engines and have been...

    Thoughts

If you've liked the LX 570, why not try to get one of the last new 2023 GC 460s sitting around on dealers' lots? Then you'll have a fine Japanese-made truck with a V8 (though a little smaller and little lower end compared to the 570).

Falken Wildpeak AT3W a "Mall Terrain Tire"?

Of course, the tires I purchased for my trailer are LTs and not Ps like what the guy in this video had. I wonder if that's the difference--though the guy in the video says that shouldn't make a difference. I know LTs usually have deeper treads.
