    Transmission temps on LC 250

Okay, we recently made a trip from Tucson, through Utah and into Wyoming pulling our 16’ Airstream Basecamp (~3500 lbs). I was very impressed with how the LC pulled the trailer through passes as high as 9,800’. I could easily accelerate from 50-60mph going uphill without being all the way into...

    Transmission temps on LC 250

Following this closely as I live in Tucson and am planning on towing our Airstream Basecamp (3500# max) up to Ten Sleep Wyoming and into the Bighorn mountains (~9,500') with the wife's LC 250. I see that these vehicles do have a transmission oil cooler, but given that it is a liquid to liquid...

    Brake bleeding issue

Thank you everyone for your advice! I ended up having to pull the left rear bleeder screw completely out and i used a very fine dental pick to clean out the passage way inside the bleeder screw. All is good now! BILT4ME, I was thinking about the height of the LSPV as well, but I was following...

    Brake bleeding issue

FJ80oregon, Thank you for both of your replies! I was thinking that maybe the bleeder was blocked but wasn’t sure if I needed to remove the bleeder screw or not. I guess I could also disconnect the lines the same place I did when I was working on it this weekend and try to clean it all out...

    Brake bleeding issue

Did some work this weekend which required that I disconnect the left rear brakeline just before the caliper. (JDM 81 RHD). Once I completed all of the work, I went to bleed the brakes. 2 man method, not a pressure kit. Sequence was Left rear, right rear, left front, right front, LSPV. I...

    1HDT boost indications fluctuating

Thank you for the reply. I checked all of the connections and they seem to be solid. There is some oil residue so maybe I’ll try to clean everything up. The waste gate line seems to be good. Yes, a standard Toyota turbo (C-26 if I am not mistaken) Thanks again

    1HDT boost indications fluctuating

1990 1HDT and my boost indications are fluctuating during steady state operation. Normally tops out at ~10psi, now will indicate as high as 17psi, but will drop to about 8 or 9 with no change to throttle position or load on the engine. Any ideas what I should look at? I honestly don’t even...

    Hi beam Indicator light

Yes. This is how I wired it. Everything worked fine until I replaced my light bulbs with LED bulbs...ever since then, my lightbar does not work. Nor does my high beam indicator light on my dash.

    Thank you!

    Hi beam Indicator light

Understood. I just liked the idea that the bar would only work when I had high beams on…that way if/when I turned high beams off, the bar would also automatically turn off. Would it work that way through the relay? Thanks!

    Hi beam Indicator light

Ok. So are you saying there is nothing I can do other than go back to a conventional bulb?

    Hi beam Indicator light

I have not, but I was thinking the same thing (possibly something to do with the LED bulbs). Unfortunately I had to surrender my old bulbs since I was replacing them on a warranty situation.

    Hi beam Indicator light

This is a real long shot, but figured I would ask... I drive a 1990 HDJ81 1HDT which I installed an LED lightbar on last spring. I wired it so that it would only be on if the lightbar switch was on and my hi beams were on. Everything worked fine, but this November after having a headlight bulb...

    Rear Axle Bearing Nut Socket

Interesting! I’ve already got a socket for my front bearings, but it looks like I need to grab one of these so I can work on the rear wheel bearings. As always, thank you guys for the information!
