When starting, won't turn over - sometimes...

I replaced my battery cables and the big ground strap w/ new ones from VintageTeqParts.com Home Page – VintageTEqParts.com - https://vintageteqparts.com/. I figured I would do the solenoid trick if that didn't work, since frankly replacing the cables is probably a good idea regardless...

FJ62 OEM-compatible tail light connectors for trailer wiring source?

I don't really want to hack into the factory harness if I can avoid it, so I'd like to make up a little connector that I can plug into the green plug and the harness on one end, and the other end of the green plug and the drivers side taillight on the other end, where I can splice in the wires...

Would love to see your FJ60 ram mount / ball phone holder charger setups

I replaced the bottom bolt in the oh s*** handle w/ a longer bolt through a ram ball, and I have a ram mount attached. Works pretty good, cable routing is a little annoying. I like it because it's totally reversible and there's no weird non-stock stuff, and it doesn't interfere with anything.

When starting, won't turn over - sometimes...

I'll have to wait til it does it again, maybe I'll start keeping a length of wire and some clips in the glove box so I can test it wherever it happens. It's still pretty rare, hasn't done it again since my last post.

@RustyBox That fix still working? I thought my intermittent click no-start was fixed when I replaced the ignition switch but it's come back so...looking for new ideas.

Need some rust advice for my 1990 that's been resprayed once

One thing about my truck (I do spray it off every time I get back from the beach and take the surf rods or surfboards off the rack) is it spent its early years in Houston, TX, where it was garage-kept. And you can see some of that roof stuff was present when PO repainted it, so I think SteveH is...

Need some rust advice for my 1990 that's been resprayed once

Yeah, my house has a tiny 1940s garage that my truck won't fit in (I'm not even sure what car would fit in there). So I leave it in the driveway under a cover. New place in Maine has a barn though.

Need some rust advice for my 1990 that's been resprayed once

Anyone have any advice on what to do about this? Pics here. It looks like there's previous rust issues under the roof paint that are now bubbling. I'm in Los Angeles, so any suggestions for shops to call would be much appreciated. I'm guess I'm going to have to grind this out and...patch these...

How do people in New England live? Is there any defense against road salt?

@marshcat When you say you "do all of it" you mean "oil it and wash the undercarriage when the temp is over 30" or "that stuff AND not drive it Dec - March" (truck looks great btw)

How do people in New England live? Is there any defense against road salt?

I might be moving from my beloved Southern California to Maine. What do people do in the parts of the country where they salt the roads? Buy throwaway vehicles? Is there anything you can do to keep the road salt from destroying your rig? Would be a major bummer to have to start treating my FJ62...

Wth? Weird passenger side window run issue

You sure that's the right part? I thought it was 68141-90A03 (my own thread about this, where I had the opposite problem)

How do you carry your bike on/with your Land Cruiser?

I have a 1up (the new HD) two place hitch rack on my 62 w/ the BTB hitch. Works great, easy to install. The only thing I don't like about the 1up is it's definitely geared to Normal Mountain Bikes, and doesn't work as well if your bike has fenders, odd wheel size, etc. But it's basically awesome.

@Gretsch looks like your buddy is out of the harness game, so if anyone has any other recommendations I'm all ears.
