Yes, you'll need to remove them in order to get sealant up under the gasket. If you have a snorkel, you'll want to remove that too. I just replaced my windshield last weekend, its kind of a PITA.
Yup, just found a link in @LandCruiserPhil's thread. Was $17 or so.
It is glass. If it breaks I have a second free one lol. If I was buying a panel I would probably just use one with an aluminum frame.
I have clamps on 3 of the 4 sides, just didn't put one on the back because it didn't line...
IIRC it is 94 and up. I just found one on eBay. It was really quick to swap into my 93. Just look for one that has a bracket to the right of the throttle cable bracket.
Changed the oil. Didn't have the right size oil filter wrench to get the old filter off, so I improvised. Hose clamps around the filter allowed me to use the wrench.
Installed @LandCruiserPhil battery bracket. Disregard the wiring rat's nest and splices, I am working on cleaning it all up...
I'm running Marlin Crawler low range and Cruiser Outfitters underdrive high range with no problems. I don't think there should be any issues with other combos.
You should Loctite the acorn nuts on the molle panel if you haven't already. They love to vibrate loose and then rattle. Otherwise, the gullwings are awesome!
Added a PUMA on board air compressor! I know, using a ratchet strap for mounting it is not ideal, I plan to do something much more robust in the future...
Regeared a spare transfer case with 10% underdrive high range and Marlin Crawler 3.12:1 low range. Just have to find time to swap it in.
Also, I joined the dorkel club.
Yup. Plug and play, super simple. I haven't yet used it to diagnose anything, but I like having the real time information displayed on my dash from my phone while I drive. I also use a Koso guage, which I like because I don't always want my phone on.
Only problem I've had is Bluetooth randomly...
