If it's 2wd I would recommend keeping it as light as possible and definitely getting a winch unless you're always going to be offroading with other 4x4s. IMO, At those kinds of plans though and the state of your truck(I'm assuming is a 2wd toyota pickup) I would really look into selling and...

Depends how many miles are on it and what it's gone through. Don't worry too much about the engine either, thats the cheapest part. Everything else to do the swap is where the cost skyrockets. Especially if you want to get your hands on a t56.
