Two problems, really and the truck is what I drive in Belize where I have no tools to speak of. So, the mechanic said the slow coolant leak was from that fitting on the firewall and needs an expansion valve. The other problem is the blower won't blow on high, which is a difficult to reach relay...
Does anyone know the name and/or part number of this part? It's located on the firewall on the passenger side. The truck is in Belize and the guy working on it called it the evaporator valve, but I don't think that's what it is. I haven't been anything on the parts diagrams that look like it.
Anyway, those both sound like issues you could fix with techstream. The dealer should have done that. There is lots of info on this forum about using techstream.
So Jonheld you've helped me a lot in the past and I respect your knowledge. As I said, I don't understand the fusible link problem as they can look good and still be a problem, as evidenced by the shortage of them. Do you think there could be something that causes a higher resistance in the link...
Yeah, you're right. My solenoid wasn't coming in. ( I think, my 100 series has a weird start problem too so I get them confused). But I've gotten superstitious about this fusible link thing. Anything goes wrong, I replace it. It always seems to work.
Believe it or not, its could be the fusible link. I chased it all over the place and somebody said replace the fusible link, and carry a spare. It worked, and I have since replaced the fusible link again and carry two spares. By the way, it still doesn't make sense to me but it works.
I ordered a replacement oem radiator for my 1993 FJZ 80 using the VIN number. The new one fits perfectly but lacks the fitting at the top of the radiator, shown in the picture. The hose that connects to this appears to go directly in to the top of the engine. Anyone know what one version of the...
