Thanks again for all the input guys. After some careful consideration I have decided not to pursue the conversion at this time I think I need to make sure that the truck is sound as is and I’m sure there will be hidden costs to sort it out. Thanks again for all the good advice.

It’s kind of funny...this will be my most modern current Toyota by over a decade...I drive an 81 SR5 truck and a 1985 4Runner. The fact that the 80 series is 25 years old seems immaterial, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. True, I wish I could have found a nice example already...
