Previous owner said it was done but I cannot say with absolute confidence that is accurate. I do not have any HG symptoms or leaks though, and has never run hot
1996 LX450. 298K~ Daily so this will go up. NO magical switch (lockers). Mechanically in good shape. Body is in pretty good shape, Monstaliner should last forever and I think it looks pretty good. Motor runs strong, I have had no issues. Selling to get heavy truck as we are moving to land and...
Most people are saying that 2 is barely enough, however I had almost a half gallon left over. I put it on as think as I could and could have used more in places but still ended up looking good I think.
Edit:I purchased the two gallon kit
Did some painting. Monstaliner Medium quartz gray, and painted the grill. Had started to paint the wheels graphite, but I think I will have to switch to black, wheels and body are too close in color. New belt molding, and broke some 25 year old louvered vents on the rear. Win some lose some.
.
Does the louvered vent tuck in behind the sliding quarter window weather strip? If so has anyone found a good/easy way to accomplish? I busted both of mine removing for paint and am trying to engineer a fix and replace with new later down the road.
I used steel stick. On the holes with access including the doors I pulled the interior trim and press from both sides. I also sanded down to bare metal around the holes to give extra grip. So far I’m satisfied. Seems to me to be the best compromise if you are not gonna weld.
