I ordered new OEM AHC globes from Impex and they were no problem with shipping or Customs. :-)

Note that those extra costs aren't Impex's fault.

There are a number of products than can protect from rust. I'd get it thoroughly treated and then go and enjoy it! :)

I did the same thing and while the "clunk" when shifting from Park to Reverse only improved slightly, the shift from Neutral to Drive is 100% better. Super smooth, to the point of being unnoticeable. :)

Chiseled out the old, tired front diff bushing and pressed in a new one. It was quite the battle but it's finally done.
