Funny thing about the duck, my 11 year old son was with me and was absolutely disgusted and angry when he saw the duck. He immediately grabbed it, kept it with him ok the ride home then immediately threw it in the trash. Trying to raise em right ya know.

We host a big car show every year where I work. So I drive the 40 there. Then today I drove it to church where this happened, I knew it was inevitable.

Yeah definitely try to get there by 9 or 10 if you can. Show cars will be around the pond behind the main building. As mentioned before, everything is free, like admission, food, drinks. Ice cream. Really is a great time if you’re a spectator. Not so great if you have to work it LOL.

The rack is made by Bowfin Cruisers. The owner is on here, @dogfishlake This was actually his old 40. I’ve always liked clean white roofs but he did a fantastic job with this setup for the 40 series.

Yeah I just ran into this very problem. I needed a new cap for my ‘78, called all the usual places and came up empty handed. Had to resort to eBay to find one and let’s just say I never thought in a million years I would have spent that much on distributor cap and rotary button.

Anyone have a set of factory tow hooks with bolts and a factory rear step for a 40 series they want to part with?

Yeah I could speculate till the cows came home on what happened. Honestly choosing not to go that route with all the scenarios. Was home last night alive and with minimal damage so I’ve decided to just be happy with that.
