Sorry, didn’t mean to”year” since you’d already said 85…was trying to say are you wanting early or late?
I’ll check them this weekend to see when they were made.
Ok, thanks for the info. With a better understanding of things now I'd agree and prefer to go with the "proper" solution of the recurve. Follow-up question then...what are people doing once the vacuum diaphragm on the stock dizzy goes? I'm on my second dizzy now because the original's diaphram...
The OEM Non-US carb is what I was originally referencing, so that’s good feedback.
@cruisermatt @roadstr6 ok, please educate me of the dizzy… I was looking at part 19100-61180, the non-US dizzy. It’s just pictures without anything else to help reference the actual size. Is it not just the US...
I'm finally getting around to re-visiting the task of de-smogging the 60 since I'm rebuilding another 2F to drop in as a refresh (no better time right). I know most people send carbs and distributors off to Jim C as part of their desmog...but... Would it be "faster" (no waiting for shop time)...
I intended to go put a few hours into the 2F I’m rebuilding, but when I walked into my shop it was raining from the ceiling. A pipe burst and had been going for a few hours, leaving almost 2 inches of water in most areas of the shop. Luckily most everything is up off the floor or in plastic...
@Comet glad you got what you needed when you did. Pipe burst in the ceiling of the shop this weekend. If you had waited much longer, we’d be pulling that engine in the dark while standing in 2 inches of water!!!
2 days and 40+ gallons of wet vac’ it and blowers…I think we’re gonna be fine, but...
Tonight at about 11:30 my final assignment to complete my MS in Applied Behavior Analysis came back graded. I made it, I’m done. It’s been 2 years of spending my nights and weekends studying or cranking out assignments and not having the time to do what I really want to do. Tomorrow I get to go...
What 60 axle parts are you looking for? I may know of a 60 that’s getting parted …in my garage. Too many parts and grand ideas without enough room to work.
I’ve got a little Predator 2000 from Harbor Freight…I guess their answer to the Honda. I can’t complain. I just ran it for 3 days straight to keep 2 fridge/freezers and a full standup freezer going until the power came back on. I kept it in its throttled-down mode to be as quiet as possible and...
A little luck and some good timing helped me become the owner of 1 brand new OEM 60-series fuel tank. Hopefully no more rusty orange fuel filters for a while.
