I recommend you buy them from Amazon, as in my above link, for only $18.xx, free shipping for orders over $35 (free 2 day if you have prime). Currently 37.18 for a pair of 9012 bulbs. 9011s are $12.87, with same deal for shipping. Quantities may be limited though...
I did not seal that side (as pictured with screwdriver above). As I mentioned in the original post, I put the adhesive on the seal/windshield interface. If you have moisture in the bottom corner of the interior windshield gasket (common), follow the original post for the fix. Per the FSM...
I have not had my LX for about 2 years, but FYI, I just bought Wagner 9012LL bulbs from Amazon for $18 each, They are for my current truck (Nissan Titan), they arrived and when I unwrapped the bulb, it was a philips 9012. I have not installed it yet, but that is a pretty good price for them.
Hornd, you will need to look at the EWD for your truck. The original write-up was for a 96 LX, which has some differences. Between the EWD and the info I posted, hopefully you can reconcile how to connect to that connector. I don't have my LX anymore, so I can't be much more help. Hopefully...
Polyurethane adhesive is supposed to be used on both mating surfaces of the seal, IIRC. Check the "how-to" in my signature below, in that post, there is a link to the FSM window installation pages.
That might be better. I never had a problem with the Urethane from Home Depot, so I wouldn't say it was a poor substitute. When I originally posted this thread, I did search locally and the interwebs, but could not find a way to purchase less than a case of the "proper" adhesive, hence the...
FYI- I sold my 96 LX450 to a mudder who saw my post in this thread! I will miss it a ton! I'm getting a pickup for more tow capacity, and nothing out there is built like an 80! Hopefully someday I can afford to add a LC back to the fold.
Thanks! For anyone who may be interested, after some inquiry about my rig, I put together a document and a ton of interior/exterior pics and video, just PM or email me if you want me to send it to you.
I understand, I was looking for aToyota bagged LC, when I found this one, it was the best 80 for the price/condition at the time. No regrets, and no real difference other than a couple badges and some cladding. Good luck in your search! The 80 bug is hard to shake, these are incredible rigs...
