Whistle, when engine cold, around 1800 rpm and again at 2200 rpm?

Need some expertise. My 2000 LX started doing a whistle, when engine cold, at around 1800 rpm and again at 2200 rpm. It's quite loud. It'll do it while parked or while driving. Once engine is warm, it stops whistling. Otherwise, LX drives fine, no issues. I checked all the vacuum hoses and...

    Door Lock Actuator Replacement

Thanks to this guide, I successfully fixed my driver front door lock actuator. Key tips from this group that worked wonderfully: Plastic Guide: Drill panel screw into plastic pin on the right side, apply heat to that pin on the backside, then use a plastic pry bar. Came off perfectly. The left...

Best replacement radiator for the money today...

I didn't take the measurements beforehand with the old radiator, so it'd be great if @94SRUNNER could take those before/after measurements.

No, the gap got a hair less but there's still a gap. Good point, I need to look at this more. Looking at the old radiator, the bolt hole is raised like this one, but the aluminum body portion extends out too, so it appears the fan shroud would fit flush. On this radiator I may consider...

Best replacement radiator for the money today...

The PO had 2 new Gates hoses put on about 2 years ago. Because of the water inlet issues, I also ordered 2 new OEM hoses. So... other than trying the Gates hoses for a test fit on the radiator (seems fine) I won’t know for sure about fitment until I get the OEM hoses and do a vacuum leak test.

Did the install and Heater T's yesterday. Ordered 1 wrong hose and discovered the tiny leak at the water inlet was due to bad pitting on the inlet. So need to wait for parts to come in to finish the radiator installation. But here are my fitment results so far: 1. Only found 2 very minor...

Leaking at Radiator Ends - Glue?

Need help with cleaning up tiny leaks at hoses. PO has done TB, Water Pump, etc including new hoses and thermostat. I’ve noticed a leak at the hose ends in both upper and lower radiator hoses that attach to the engine. when I pulled the radiator hoses off I see that the surface of the...

Best replacement radiator for the money today...

I didn't get a chance to install it this weekend. I'm waiting for a vacuum filler to come in. I did unbox it, and it was shipped/packed very well. There were a few slightly bent fins, but I think it's to be expected? It came with a new Mishimoto radiator cap, foam for the top of the radiator...

    Steering Flush & Cleaning

Thanks to this thread, I was able to get the 2 hoses from Napa to replace my old, hard, leaky hoses. Flush went well too. Saved a lot of money by not going OEM on those hoses. In the process, I broke the 2 hose separate clips, see pic. Does anyone know what the PN for this is? Or perhaps...

Looking to Purchase a High Mileage 02 LX and Seeking Advice

I forgot 2 more big ones. Rear view mirror: mine is super loose. The screw is completely stripped. Thanks to this group, I got the PN for that screw and got it on order. Also, the green light never comes on, I think that means the auto-dimming is inop. Windshield rivets: like others, they did...
