Reviving this thread! And apologies if this has been asked somewhere already, but there are 9 pages here...
Is there any way to distinguish a CE by it's VIN or door tag alone? Say, if the badges and body side mouldings had been removed?
I know! I was rooting for you. Thought you had another couple bids in you. It will be very hard to part with this rig. If anything falls through I'll stay in touch.
Hey all! Final day for bidding on this beauty. It is fully loaded, triple locked, $10k stereo system, completely baselined and needs nothing. Full binder of receipts and records which show I personally have almost $32,000 invested since I bought in 2018. You'd be hard pressed to find a cleaner...
After purchasing from another Mud member in 2018, I never thought I'd sell this one. I've put a ton of time (and money) into this build but it's time to let someone else enjoy it.

This Bring A Trailer listing is live until Saturday, 1/8/22. White on grey (interior looks brand new). Solid build and sorted, plus supercharged and triple locked. Anyone out there looking?

The reason I ask is I just purchased (in the US) a LHD 1997 80...
All said and done, they quoted me $1800. But I won't have the final bill until sometime this week or next from what I'm told. I've been working with Champa Auto Body. Paul has been incredible to work with over there and they do great work (typically an insurance claims body shop, but they took...
Yep. The old insulation is dated and cant be reused anyway. I purchased two types of insulation and sound proofing to put up in its place - an 80mil butyl adhesive (same type of material as dynamat - will also ensure no water ever gets inside again), as well as a 150mil closed cell foam to go...
Well...for anyone still wondering, I bit the bullet and had the body shop the truck has been at pull the headliner and fill the roof rack holes the right way - weld, grind, seal, paint. I ultimately wanted this thing to look like it came from the factory without a rack, and I think it's going to...
Looks awesome @mtkreitz. The color match looks nearly identical in these photos. Which 4runner pads did you end up using - champagne, silver, or gray? I may need to order all three to match my champagne silver LX.
