    f135 Engine Sticker

I have a 1967 FJ40 that is mostly restored and I could not find an F135 engine sticker to replace the one that was destroyed. My sons girlfriend made me a new one on her cricket, take a look.

    Brake and exhaust help

Thanks for the Advice, I am starting to search from the master cylinder forward. I really don't want to go back to a single cylinder system. I agree, thank god for all of the support here. Especially for a newbie, first restoration.

    Brake and exhaust help

Good point, I was thinking more plug and play and that may be where I got into trouble. I'll start looking at the system for the master cylinder I have, It likely has front discs. But I was trying to avoid that to keep it more original and not spend the money to convert to discs, but at the...

    Brake and exhaust help

No, as a 67 it started with a single system and I upgraded it to a 2 reservoir/ cylinder master and do not have a proportioning valve since front and back are separate. Should I have one, and would that cause the inability to get the system to work?

    67 FJ40 F 135 Valve stem seal replacement problems

Cruiser Parts, who were very good about working to sort through this, and replaced the first set with the umbrellas at no extra cost, But obviously the seal designs of these early motors is not straight forward.

    67 FJ40 F 135 Valve stem seal replacement problems

So as usual most of you folks are right on the money. The supplier of the seals shown realized that they are not the right ones for the F135, I was all excited and when the "right" ones showed up, they were the rubber umbrellas I've seen, looked good but wont fit inside the inner spring. So as...

Gas in oil and oil in cylinders

I appreciate all the input, I have installed a new OEM fuel pump and waiting to sort out the valve seal issue (another thread) before test driving it. But interestingly the F engine I have only has O-rings above the keepers for seals and 5/12 0-rings were missing (not sure where they went?)...

    Picture of valve

They are a nice tight fit on the valve stem, but dont slide down that "metal guide shaft" and the bottom flange of the copper seal is the same diameter as the OD of the small spring so I dont think I could get the spring on unless I ground the flange off the copper seal or shortened the...

    Picture of valve

This is a little bit of an old addition to this thread but I am having issues trying to replace valve seals on an original 67 f 135. Figure 2. 20 above is the first I have seen that matches mine. Maybe there are no "seals". I cant image that the o ring on the top blocks all the oil from the...

    67 FJ40 F 135 Valve stem seal replacement problems

The 2 o rings have a split in them, not sure if thats supposed to be there, those were above the keepers I guess to keep them in place and not sliding up. So not acting as a seal for oil. I was getting oil into 4 of the cylinders but it happened when there was a lot of gas in the crankcase.

    67 FJ40 F 135 Valve stem seal replacement problems

What are those, and where do they go? are they there is the picture, is that the part at the top of the metal shaft, and can they be swapped once you drop the valves?

    67 FJ40 F 135 Valve stem seal replacement problems

Gas in oil and oil in cylinders

Thanks for the help. Recently I have been checking the sight glass and it has been at the midway line, I did not check it when it totally crapped out. A while ago when we were just starting the engine but prior to driving it it was overflowing with the sight glass full but seem to correct...
