    For a 78 2F Engine. The 2 closest cylinders to the firewall have a compression of 100, the others are 125. Thinking I need to rebuild the engine. What rebuild kit do you recommend and where do you recommend buying it

    I am going to crawl under my sons FJ40 this weekend to check fluid levels. I have not looked at the transmission / t-case in about 3 years and cannot remember where the fill / drain plugs are located. Below are pics of where I think that they are. Does anyone have a diagram or pics?

    No, the dash lights should not fade to 100% dark when the headlights and radio are on!

    What could be the culprit for this. If the lights are not on, this doesnt happen. As soon as I turn the lights and radio on with low RPM's the dash lights dim to off. Bad alternator or ???
