Hi Gerry, I don’t know where the cable connects to the latch in the engine bay. But it seems like once I find that end I’m basically going to use the existing cable to pull the new cable through the engine bay into the cabin?
Can someone show me where the cable connects to the latch? The interior release has slack and the hood won't lock. The lock itself seems to work - it's not stuck. I'm guessing the cable snapped at the lock but I'm not sure I'm looking in the right place.
It's actually called fluid film Automotive - Fluid Film - https://www.fluid-film.com/automotive-applications/
It's not a one and done type of thing, need to apply annually. Overly simplistic description is that you're basically coating your bits in a layer of wax that apparently has properties...
I’ve got the same truck, also bought mine from MN last July. I have the sunroof and roof rack tho.
I didn’t bother with brushing anything before having the chassis fluid filmed. You got a good price and doing the work yourself is saving tons of cash. My sons still several years away from...
Visiting GR with my new to me 96 LX 450 and was hoping to get my rig off pavement for the first time. Stock, so nothing crazy. Anyone with recommendations within an hour or so of GR? I checked the state maps and didn't see anything "official." Depending on what there might be closer I'm still...
Hi, piggybacking on this, what would be the difference between the shocks above for the toyota v. a 96 LX450? Are the lexus ones just "softer"? What would give me better road handling on the highway?
Hey guys, curious if you can tint over the existing tint on the sides and back. Guessing since it's less of a film but more of a finish it's possible but curious if that's what you've done. I don't mind the bronze color, I think it goes with my LX450 color scheme but I can't keep burning myself...
Hi, trying my luck to see if anyone has the mirror glass and backing plate for a 96 LX450. Someone side swiped me and broke the glass and the white pivot retainer piece. I have no idea if the glass can just be replaced (seems like it's an iffy proposition). Mirror housing is fine so just looking...
@ProjectLover It seems like it actually might just be the aluminum frame, it's not rust, it's just crumbling. If you pull back the rubber seal a bit you find out it's the only thing holding the frame together.
@Blacatoe what was the solution to the rust problem? Found this thread when I realized how much rust I have in the track when I went to open the window.
