my RSG sliders account for those lines, luckily. i can't remember, but i think i may have had to trim that shield a little bit. but definitely see your point that they are exposed. i do wheel my truck fairly hard (although i haven't been out in MONTHS due to have two kids under two years...

Hmmm... I'm sorry, that sounds very frustrating. Glad you made it home, at least. This does sound like something with the security system - perhaps a trip to the dealer is your best bet. Hopefully somebody here can chime in with more experience.

That is bizarre. Not sure if this helps in anyway, but I do believe when the keyfob battery dies, if you hold it up right to the "start/stop" button, that will allow you to start the car. Of course you will need to be able to get IN to the car with the metal key to do that.

Good idea! I may do that too down the road. You can find some 5th gen 4runner guys that had KDSS that have pulled or disabled the system and installed long-travel. Seems to work out just fine!

This should be around 3" - it's an old man emu lift with the 886 heavy springs in the front and medium springs in the back (but a lot of weight removed in the rear - see my post above).

It's funny, I don't feel like it is so high in person. I have had several lifted Tacomas and 4runners, all at about 2.5-3" and this is about the same in terms of CV angles. I'll grab some more pics today and get the CV angles and add them here. It drives great with the heavy springs. This thing...
