    2006 GX470 Sport - from Chicago

Yes, that is roughly where we were! It's probably dumb to ask if you'd wanna ship that thing... Lol Of course I'd pay for it.

    2006 GX470 Sport - from Chicago

Went down to southern IL to check out my second total eclipse. Brought the GX this time and used it to do some mild off roading and slept in it. What a lovely area down there, hard to believe it is IL. It was a lovely time, and as always it returned better fuel economy than I was expecting. High...

    Builds "Rednexus" - 2007 GX470 Build Thread

Same. I was considering adding AT 205 to my next transmission service as I usually add a little to the oil and my other car has been using it in the powersteering system with great success in stopping some seepage and little leaks.

    Camp Site Recipes

I've got a basic two burner Coleman. Love making quesadillas, mixed veggies, mushrooms I foraged, asparagus, recently Korean BBQ, polish sausage on the fire, bacon, various cuts of steak, warming up canned items such as chili or beans... There are lots of options and I find keeping it simple...

Too much rust or join the family?

Where in Chicago are you from? Mine has been here its whole life and while it isn't going to crack in half quite yet, it does make me a little sad every time I look under it lol

    Price check on a....door check

I replaced my passenger front door check with a used one off of eBay since that door was blown open hard against the stops on a very windy day. If I remember correctly I paid $75.

GX470 Coolant loss with no visible leaks

So I know you can remove the TB covers up top to take a peek into the belt situation. Is there a way to view the WP from below for those in thread who poked around to check? My TB/WP was replaced in 2020 about 40k miles ago. Thank you all!

Looks like a beautiful time. Did you ever post any accelerations vids of your intake/header/exhaust set up? Would love to hear that thing!

    2006 GX470 Sport - from Chicago

Well folks, there are no obvious signs of coolant leaving anywhere. Radiator is clean. All hoses are clean. I'm a little unsure of how to check on the water pump as it is all covered up by the timing covers. Also, if it were the heater core leaking would that leave traces of coolant in the AC...

    2006 GX470 Sport - from Chicago

Coolant seems to be disappearing a little bit faster than it used to. No visible exterior leaks. Oil looks fine. Garage floor is very dirty so it's hard to see whether it is dripping. Due for an oil change. So I'll take all of the plastic shields off and check out if there is possibly a leak...

Need help with wheel and tire combo - 07 GX 470

Running a 0 offset method with 265/70/17 Falken Wildpeaks. Had to cut my sidesteps just a little bit with a Dremel and heat and bend the front splash shields like was mentioned above. Really like the Wildpeaks. About 30kish miles on them. Still pretty quiet and perform well. They were...

GX470 Coolant loss with no visible leaks

Dealing with this as well. Very very slow disappearing coolant, however, no heat issues. Looks like I need to inspect behind the TB cover.

I have not! I've been meaning to go to Badlands for a while but it's not been working out with my schedule. Lol

    2006 GX470 Sport - from Chicago

Not many things to update here as of yet. Crossed over 135k miles. The Wildpeaks look to be about halfway done now at about 30k miles on them so far. Wearing nice and evenly and still pretty quiet overall. They did start to feel a little less capable in the snow this year though, what little we...
