Depends on whats available. Open to viewing any vehicle that's near and clean. I have seen some ridiculously priced fj80's on ebay recently. One for $44k comes to mind. I'd say that's out of my interest zone.
Looking for a decent fj80 with low mikes, would consider an older model as well (1988 etc). Clean, history a plus, lockers a plus but not a must. Clean car fax. Have cash. Southern US. Pm me.
Point to ponder: I recently looked at a couple of gray market 25 year old plus imports with 3.0 diesel engines. These are the Prado version and I really liked them. One was a 92 for $17k and the other a 95 for $21k. I passed on them as no one here will work on them. But they were both both...
Thanks, I hear ya! This one is a bit of a rare one, collector edition and factory lockers. I can't seem to locate a decent fj80 with relatively low miles for a decent price. Or, the ones I locate are 2000 miles from me. I did locate a nice 88, but he wanted $25k! Thanks for the insight👍
I'm looking at what seems to be a pristine collector 1997. Car fax checks out. Verified miles just under 200,000. Looks great via photos but not yet seen it in person. Value? 20k? I see these at times for less. What's the going rate for a really nice one?
what is the correct body designation for a 1995 LC Prado with a 3.0 liter 1KZ turbo diesel? I'm searching parts on line and keep running into variations. Would kzj78w be correct? I see "PET" added to that at times, I see one saying it's a KZ90. Can anyone assist in nailing down what the...
Yes, I am a newbie lol. I've rebuilt a number of classic BMW motorcycles, but with those we have max bmw and most all the parts are available. Also a ton of after market parts due to the cult following. Sure wish these prados had the same backing. I do appreciate you guys filling me in on...
I'm looking at a Prado and was concerned about spare parts. I can get the vin tomorrow I suppose. I'm hearing that items such as starters and alternators are NOS, and have to be rebuilt ( from a call to Cruiser outfitters). I then google what I think is the right part number for a starter...
Gents, Excuse my ignorance, but I'm on the partssoug site and run into what exact body style I'm looking at. Is the 95 LC/ Prado with a 1kz te a KJI78W - then there are other three letter designations of: PET, and there are others. What exactly am I looking for? I'm trying to source part...
has any one mounted a trailer hitch on a Prado? I will need a small motorcycle trailer to got with me at times, and all I have located is one on etrailer.com - mod # c12181. Says not to exceed 300 lb tongue weight. I think this replaces the small "hook" affair on the rear. I'm looking for...
I did locate a starter and alternator on the partssoug site, but they indicate not available. I then used the part numbers and located via a google search other suppliers out of the US that indicate they have them. I would think with how prevalent these engines are worldwide there is...
excellent! I didn't see that section for some reason. I have a vin from a similar vehicle ( don't have the vin from the one I'm looking at yet). When I ran it there were too few numbers in the vin to do a search. Seems that these others vehicles had 11 digits on the vins. I do...
