Had this problem on newly acquired 2008 with 179K miles. I removed the heat shield around the actuator, let the truck idle for about 20 minutes. After that kept trying the CDL and it finally engaged. Seems to be operating smooth now. Good luck - hope you get it!
Totally homemade- I am very impatient and rushed the build. I needed to keep one seat in the back for kids. Prob took 5-6 hrs and $50 to complete. Bolted to floor, no slides, works fine...
So...the original answer was no. But, after a brief, grown up conversation with the regional manager and BFG, they decided to give me 80% credit toward the new tire. That seemed more than fair to me and I will continue to support the brand!
I'm with you. If I was running around like I was in my 20's...full throttle that'd be one thing. But man...I am so easy on the gas... I can't believe this tire did that. I've been running this brand since 1996 and never happened before.
RESOLVED.
Check out the photo of this tire. 20k miles and chunked to the cords. Would you all expect to buy a new tire or have it warrantied? Tire Discounters is where I purchased them a little over a year ago.
