CRUISER BROTHERS' GX 460 TEST TRUCK

@wardharris - Resurrecting this thread because I saw you talking about the Nomad Valve body on your 460. Does the A750 valve body from WAT just bolt right up to the A760 and work? There is a big discussion over on GXOR of people with 460 transmission troubles and we are hoping maybe the WAT...

Bilstein 6112 Dilemma on GX470...not as low cost as I thought

The 6112s were basically the only game in town for a mid-tier priced option before the Dobinson IMS came out circa late 2019, early 2020. You could always get a <$700 kit from Ironman, OME, 5100s, etc You cold always get a top tier $2500+ kit from Fox, King, etc The 6112 / 5160 setup shined...

    VSC Track Light Help

Also, I don't want to be rude to a newbie, but you should always start by RTFM. https://lexusgxor.com/_media/general:2006_gx470_owner_s_manual.pdf This is all explained in detail.

    VSC Track Light Help

This light? If so, she enabled the center diff lock. Click the button in the center console, next to seat heaters, to turn it off. Do not drive on pavement with this engaged, you will break your CVs pretty quickly. (Like within a mile if you are turning a lot)

    New GX owner with question

Did your GX spend any of it's history near the coast? Lots of things will start to oxidize if you live near sea air long enough. Idle you mentioned is completely normal. The engine wants to get up to operating temperature and get the cats hot, then it settles down.

hear hear! @Acrad are you active on GXOR-FB? It's ok if you don't want to dox yourself, I'd just like to keep an eye out for your contributions over there too.

    Recovery Gear 101

I did it on purpose because recently the forum software has decided you can't just post a link to youtube, it has to be converted into this giant monstrosity embeded version:

    TPMS disarm

Agreed! I've never been able to make and of the OBD readers show per-tire pressure. If that worked I'd be much more inclined to actually use TPMS.

    TPMS disarm

@sandcruiser -Thanks!! How this worked long term for you? A simple jumper to ground on the plug seems like the easiest, most reversible option. For those of us that have green or other modules that can use the ground trick.

    SLEE SliderSteps for your +’10 Lexus GX460/ +’10 4Runner

If it is 120 lbs for both - 60 lbs each - That is really good. That's right on par with most others, but these seem way more beefy.

    SLEE SliderSteps for your +’10 Lexus GX460/ +’10 4Runner

Looks great!! How long are they end to end? Also, does anyone know what they weight? The website lists two different weights:

    gx470 FRONT anti-rock swaybar. who's dunnit?

Technically you can, but almost no one does. Even Baz, the original creator of the FJ ones in the thread you linked no longer makes or runs them. In the GXOR FB there are 21,000 people and maybe 3 or 4 have run these? If there was an easy solution that worked well it would be very popular...

    gx470 FRONT anti-rock swaybar. who's dunnit?

The front doesn't work the same and there is nowhere else to put it. Really your options in the front are: 1. Live with it. 2. Remove it Not to be smartass, but there really are no alternatives for the GX. You can buy beefed up front sway bar links but that is just for strength, doesn't change...
