Thanks very much for your help, guys. The comfort, room, F250 mechanic knowledge of the excursion is definitely appealing, especially for long distance trips. However practical an excursion would be for my uses, it is certain that I’d regret selling the 100.
Thanks for the reply. I Love my wife and I love my kids. Jokes / self deprecation don’t always come through in text. However, I will definitely search for the unhappy Ford dad’s forum. That has to be good entertainment.
You’re right about reverse facing car seats being a pain. I don’t plan on...
We thought we were being careful. Prophylactics don’t always work and we went from 2 kids to 4. We had twins …. They do look like Dad.
I currently have an ‘06 100 with 168K and have grand plans of teaching my kids about the outdoors in it, and the joys of not being attached to a damn screen in...
Additional Info:
- I am not going to be rock crawling. Imogene level trails +\- is my style of wheeling.
- Current tires are 265/70/18 SL
- planning to stick with Falken Wildpeak AT3W. 295s are listed at 34.3” diameter
- Is my lift essentially the same as running AHC in High without a sensor...
Yep. Another “Will it fit?” Thread.
I currently have newer stock shocks and OME 865 coils. 1 inch wheel spacers. I will need new tires soon, and I would really like to use 295/70/18s if they will fit and actually be functional off road.
I know I will need to smash the pinch weld and modify the...
Thanks very much for all of the insight and advice. You've convinced me to go E rated, but I wonder if the Wildpeak AT3W in E will even provide more sidewall protection. Both SL and E have 2 ply sidewalls. Obviously E would provide more protection against puncture on the tread, but will the...
The Falken techs in the past have said that their P tires are as strong as a Load C tire (assume that is Load bearing) with "ply turnups" essentially making a 2 ply into a 4ply at the lugs of the sidewall. Any more thoughts on this issue?
Clearly the only way to find out personally is to try...
I am planning a trip to the San Juans this summer and am wondering if anyone has experience running SL tires on Colorado mountain passes, such as Imogene, Engineer, Cinnamon, and Ophir.
I have Passenger SL rated Falken Wildpeak AT3W in 265/70/18. I plan to run these passes with a RTT and about...
Knew this worthless piece of sh*t was a scammer from the get-go, but had already opened a bottle of wine and curiosity got the best of me. You would think these idiots would at least learn about their grift.
I am searching for a TJM T-15 bumper like the one posted below. Steel or alloy does not matter. I know it's a long shot. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Yep, DD ride comfort was also my worry. I was coming off a 1998 Grand Cherokee 5.9L with solid axles and stiff Bilsteins, so anything would have been better. I sometimes think I should have gone E load and never experienced the soft ride of the SL.
Have you done any suspension mods? Thanks very...
