I spilt some out of mine maybe 2-3 ounces. I added some back into the torque converter. However, I was told transmission fluid is pumped into the torque converter from the transmission so what I lost would not have been a problem if I didn’t replace it directly into the torque converter.

this is my issue. i put the motor back in after doing the cylinder head and it was running incredibly quiet. then i realized i hadn't put power steering fluid in, so it was running dry. as soon as i put the fluid in the load ticking started. there was a small chip in the power steering...

i put it on and spun and spun it. i got two clunks and thought i was done. i was surprised by the third! it mated with no problems.

Does that noise sound like a valve issue to you? Ive got a similar noise. I am going to do a leak down test when I have a chance. Cylinder 4 is missing pretty bad on mine.

I was jiggling my wire harness to see if it was getting melted on the egr pipe and causing my misfire problem.... I gently touched the heater hose and it broke off the valve nipple! Glad I was at home when it happened!

i am curious as to how you like the black hub with 10k. i think that's what i am going to do next.
